Visa Direct Request and Send

Request Funds
Visa Direct Request and Interac e-Transfer® Request are two great means for you to load funds to your H&R Block Advantage Prepaid Mastercard®. This allows you to request the funds from any of your bank accounts associated with your Visa Debit card. It is easy, convenient, and is at no cost to you.
Note: If you plan to use Visa Direct, ensure that the bank or card you are transferring to supports the Visa Direct payment system. You can confirm this by checking for the following logo on their cards:
If this logo is not present, your bank may not support this transfer method.
You can do it right from your app or web portal:
- Select Transfer from the top menu.
- In the Request Money section, select Pull from an account using Debit Card.
- If your Visa Debit Card is already added, proceed to step 7.
- If not, add a contact:
- Press Add Contact.
- Enter the requested information:
- External Account Name (will show in the drop-down menu)
- Full Cardholder Name
- Card Number
- Expiry Date
- CVV
- Address
- Click Submit to save the contact.
- Select the contact from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the amount to fill up your H&R Block Advantage Prepaid Mastercard® and click Submit.
- Click Submit on the confirmation screen.
- A processing screen will appear.
- Verify the transaction via the bank's prompt.
- Enter the code from the confirmation email into the confirmation screen and click Continue.
- Confirm funds are debited from your bank account and credited to your H&R Block Advantage Prepaid Mastercard®.
- Select Move Money on the dashboard.
- Press Request Money and then Visa Direct.
- Enter the amount to request.
- Select the source (Visa Direct Card) from the dropdown list or add a new source by pressing the plus (+) sign*.
- Confirm the amount and contact, then click Proceed.
- A confirmation screen will appear. Click OK to continue.
- A processing screen will appear.
- Verify the transaction via the bank's prompt and click Continue.
- Enter the code from the confirmation email into the confirmation screen and click Continue.
- Confirm funds are debited from your bank account and credited to your H&R Block Advantage Prepaid Mastercard®.
*Note for Alberta: The save button in the add source section may not be enabled. There is a fix in process. In the meantime, please try the following workaround to add your card:
- Complete the form with all the required details.
- In the province dropdown menu, select a different province (e.g., BC).
- Re-select Alberta as the correct province.
- The save button is now enabled. Click save and proceed.
Send Funds
This allows you to send funds to any Visa Direct Card. The funds will be deposited in the bank account associated with the Visa Direct Card. It is quick and convenient.
- Select Move Money on the dashboard.
- Press Send Money and then Visa Direct.
- Select the source (Visa Direct Card) from the dropdown list or add a new source by pressing the green (+) icon*.
- Enter the amount to send.
- Press Proceed.
- Confirm the amount and contact, then hit OK.
- A confirmation screen will appear. Click OK to continue.
- A processing screen will appear.
- Verify the transaction via the bank's prompt.
- Enter the code from the confirmation email into the confirmation screen and click Continue.
- Confirm funds are debited from your bank account and credited to yourH&R Block Advantage Prepaid Mastercard®.
- You may press Done to return to your card dashboard.
- Select Move Money on the dashboard.
- Press Send Money and then Visa Direct.
- Select the source (Visa Direct Card) from the dropdown list or add a new source by pressing the green (+) icon*.
- Enter the amount to send.
- Press Proceed.
- Confirm the amount and contact, then hit OK.
- A confirmation screen will appear. Click OK to continue.
- A processing screen will appear.
- Verify the transaction via the bank's prompt.
- Enter the code from the confirmation email into the confirmation screen and click Continue.
- Confirm funds are debited from your bank account and credited to yourH&R Block Advantage Prepaid Mastercard®.
- You may press Done to return to your card dashboard.

Step By Step – With Screenshots:
Request Funds
To transfer from the web portal, do the following:
1) Go to Transfer in the top menu navigation
2) In the Request Money section, select Pull from an account using Debit Card
3)
Under
Request Funds, select a contact from the drop-down list, or add a new contact
4) To add a new contact, click the Add Contact button
5) On the Add Contact page, enter the information requested, such as:
a) External Account Name (this name will show in the drop-down list)
b) Full cardholder name and address (associated to the Visa Debit Card)
c) Click Submit to add the new contact to your list
6) After adding a new contact, you can select the contact form the drop-down list:
7) Add the amount you want to transfer to your H&R Block Advantage Prepaid Mastercard®. After that, click
Submit:
8) On the Confirmation Transfer pop-up, click Submit again
9) You’ll see a process screen. After that, you’ll be redirected to your bank or financial institution to complete your request.
10) To verify the deposit with your bank, select email to receive the one-time code and click
Continue.
11) You’ll receive an email with a one-time passcode.
12) Enter the code you received by email in the
Enter Code field, and click
Submit 13) When the transfer is complete, you’ll see a message Funds requested successfully
14) You can verify the transaction on your
Dashboard, under
Transactions.
To transfer from the Advantage App, do the following:
1) Select Move Money on your Dashboard.
2) Hit Request Money and then Visa Direct
.
3) Enter the amount you want to request.
4) Under Select Source, choose the contact from the drop-down list. If your contact is not listed, press the plus sign (+) to add a new contact.

Enter the information requested and hit
Proceed.
6) When you see a Please Confirm pop-up, confirm you are requesting the correct amount from the contact selected, and hit OK to continue.
7)
You will be prompted to a verification screen. Then, you’ll be redirected to your bank or financial institution to verify this request.
8) You’ll receive the one-time code in your email. Enter the code received in the Enter Code field.
9) Once verified, you will see a confirmation screen. You can press Done to return to your Dashboard

The recipient will then see the transaction on their account.
Send Funds
To Send Funds from the web portal, do the following:
1) Go to Transfer in the top menu navigation
2) In the Send Money section, select Push to an account using Debit Card
3) Select an existing contact or add a new one.
Follow the process shown in Request Money – Web Portal.
4) Enter the Amount you want to send, and click Submit:
5) On the
Confirmation Transfer pop-up, you’ll see the transaction fee. If you want to continue, you can click
Submit.
6) When the transaction is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message Funds sent successfully

7) The recipient can view money on their account:
1) Select Move Money on your Dashboard
2) Press Send Money and then VISA Direct
.
2) Enter the amount in which you’d like to send.
3) Under Select Source, choose the contact from the drop-down list. If your contact is not listed, press the plus sign (+) to add a new contact.
4) Enter the information requested and hit Proceed

5) Confirm you are sending the correct amount from the correct contact. Hit OK to proceed.
6) You will see a confirmation screen. You can press Done to return to your Dashboard
